James Cross obtained his bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University, graduating magna cum laude. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies here in Duluth, Mn at the College of Saint Scholastica.

James has spent the last 3 years serving the northland communities as a Neurosurgery physician assistant at Essentia Health.

Having gained excellent experience in treating several neurological conditions he will continue to focus his efforts on treating complex spine problems. Throughout his work in the northland, James has demonstrated a strong passion for spine surgery and helping to improve patient quality of life.
